Continuing their highly anticipated return to the modern R&B landscape, iconic early-2000s boy band B2K has officially unveiled “Lil Freak,” the latest single from their forthcoming comeback studio album, ECLIPSE.
Comprised of Omarion, Lil’ Fizz, J-Boog, and Raz-B, the platinum-selling quartet is actively gearing up for their first full-length album release in over two decades. “Lil Freak” serves as a fresh, high-energy addition to their revitalized era, directly paving the way for the full ECLIPSE project arriving this fall.
The group’s ongoing rollout will also be supported by another highly anticipated upcoming single titled “Mileage,” which features production from Ethos.
B2K initially rose to massive prominence in the early 2000s, quickly becoming one of the most defining acts of their generation through a combination of smooth vocals, infectious dance routines, and undeniable charismatic appeal. Their hit-heavy catalog boasts chart-topping generational anthems including “Bump, Bump, Bump,” “Uh Huh,” “Why I Love You,” and “Girlfriend.”
Beyond their musical dominance—which resulted in the multi-platinum commercial success of their eponymous debut B2K and their 2002 sophomore effort Pandemonium!—the group firmly cemented their place in pop culture history with a starring role in the iconic 2004 street dance film You Got Served.
Throughout their initial run, B2K secured widespread industry acclaim and heavy hardware. Their accolades include a BET Award for Best Group, a Billboard Music Award for R&B/Hip-Hop Single Sales Track of the Year, a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Music Group, and multiple Soul Train Music Awards.
More than twenty years after their debut, the group’s lasting impact on the R&B genre remains unquestionable. Bolstered by a highly successful reunion and the completely sold-out Boys 4 Life Tour, B2K continues to resonate with audiences across multiple generations, reaffirming their status as one of the most influential boy bands of the early 2000s.
“Lil Freak” is available to stream and download now across all major digital platforms.
